20/21 Registration is open

2020-2021Elementary and Middle School Wrestling registration is now open!

All registration is online at
www.ArlingtonWrestlingClub.com Login and complete registration details with a deposit by 10/01.

This year will certainly be a little different but we will follow local protocols to ensure we are returning to the mat as safely as possible. Most local tournaments are already scheduled and the travel events will be narrowed down in the coming weeks.

This is a singlet upgrade year and we are excited to show off our new Tiger striped singlet. See the app for a peak. Our compression shirt and mma shorts have been upgraded as well; everyone will get new socks and team tshirt every year. And you have the option to re-use last year’s hoodie or purchase a new one. All questions within the registration process.

Registration will look a little different this year. When you select the 20/21 Regular Season registration, you will see 2 division options 1) Beginner/Non-compete and 2) Regular season competitor. After the feedback we received last year, we wanted to add a little more structure for our beginners. Both division options practice 10/19 (or as soon as your fall sport ends) through the MidSouth Championships in January.

Registration Fees

  • Regular Season Competitor $358
  • Beginner – Non-compete $278

Registrations include:

  • USAW & AAU memberships (required for insurance and the tournaments we participate in)
  • Team uniform; Singlet OR Compression shirt; MMA shorts; AWC Socks; Hoodie & T-Shirt
    • Re-using last years hoodie is a registration question and applies a discount. Only use this option if it still fits. All wrestlers should show up to tournaments and warm up as a team in team gear
    • Parents have the option to select a Singlet AND Compression shirt for an additional fee
  • Water bottle
  • Club administrative fees; banquet, insurance, supplies, etc..
  • Tournament fees
    • Regular season – up to 7
    • Beginners – up to 3 beginner events
    • Travel tournaments are a separate registration event to be released at a later date
  • A little fundraising is required; you can pre-pay ahead of time (or OPT out of fundraising) through the registration process. Fundraising will look a little different this year as the board works to finalize those options.

We would rather see your wrestler continue wrestling for years to come then get burnt out. Our Travel season, known as the Apex Predator program is in addition to the regular season and for the family that is looking for a more competitive experience and willing to travel. Apex Predators will continue on through States in mid-March. Details to be released at a later date.

We ask that you complete registration online and submit an initial deposit of at least $125 by October 1st so we can have your gear ready for our first competition. A late fee of $25 will be imposed on orders starting on Oct. 2nd.

Parents meeting will be virtual on September 28th at 6:30pm; link will be emailed. Practices will be similar to last year, with upper elementary and middle school practicing Mon, Tue &Thurs. 6-8pm. Our Cub wrestlers (ages 4 – 6) will continue to practice Tue & Thurs only 6-7:30pm. *Some wrestlers may move between teams for the right partners and/or instruction.

If you have a 4 year old that is interested, you must talk to Coach Chris before you register them.

COVID protocols will be reviewed at our parents meeting. We will be reviewing a questionnaire and checking temperatures before every practice and will need volunteers to assist.

Open houses will be virtual this year. If you have questions about gear sizes, please reach out to Coach Chris. Anyone not sure if wrestling is right for them will have the opportunity to watch a practice and have a discussion with Coaches via virtual open house to be announced after practices start.

Our advanced fall clinic will be in late October with limited participation. Look for more details to be posted in our Team App in a few weeks.

Our High School is a top high school program in the state that is on pace for a Seven-peat of region individual and team champions while continuing to rise on the state level. It is a long term goal of our program to continue to feed wrestlers into the program that have a strong foundation and love for the sport.

Finally, follow us on Facebook @ArlingtonYouthWrestling for updates and events. We offer year round wrestling opportunities for anyone who is interested.

Hope to see you on the mat soon,
